SamRece is a portmanteau of the names of my two daughters: Samara and Clarice (also known as Recee). This was an opportunity for my daughters to collaborate with me on a painting: they chose the background, shapes and colors. I put them on the canvas. We connected through a 3-way conversation; one daughter lives in Colorado, the other in Illinois, while I live in Ohio. I think this is as much of a triumph of technology as it is a chance to work with family!
